Membership Donation

In Ásatrú, it is a principle of the faith to support the Cause of the Æsir in Midgard. As is tradition, that is done by making a regular donation of 1% or more of one's income to the Asatru Folk Assembly, which is the Church of the Æsir in Midgard. This donation is called "hoftollr", and is used to fund the running of the Asatru Folk Assembly as a church, the acquisition and maintenance of hofs, the performance of sacrifices and events, the Asatru Folk Assembly's homeschooling education program, and charitable ventures.

Choose the frequency at which you would like to donate, and then enter in at least 1% of your income earned per that frequency in the box below.

The frequency at which one makes this regular donation is extremely flexible, as is the means of doing so. We offer a variety of options, but if you would like a frequency that is not listed below, please choose the "Setup with Folkbuilder" option. If 1% of your monthly income is below $15 per month, or equivalent (1% of the monthly income of someone at the adjusted average poverty line in the US), or if you have no income at all, please choose the "Setup with Folkbuilder" option. After your donation is complete, you will receive an email from the Allsherjargoði welcoming you to the church. Shortly after that, you will be contacted by a Folkbuilder who will reach out to in order to welcome you and explain all of the things that we've got going on, and if necessary help setup your donation in a customized manner.

Membership in the Asatru Folk Assembly requires that you are of our Folk and share our ethics and worldview. We share a sincerely held religious belief that only heterosexual White persons who are not in an interracial relationship can be in Troth to the Æsir, a relationship that is called Ásatrú.
